WHO WE ARE
Minera Consulting provides experienced, practical, and trustworthy guidance to junior mining companies, First Nations, investors, project development teams and operating companies lacking in-house technical expertise and leadership. The founders — Gord, Jaime, and Sean — aim to position Minera as the industry’s trusted first call, much like a lawyer or family doctor, full technical leadership and advice for services such as early-stage evaluations, engineering study support, operational guidance, project execution and specialized advisory services on behalf of the owner. Their core value proposition centers on being “powered by experience,” addressing the industry’s growing deficit of seasoned professionals who know what it takes for mines and projects to be successful. With a global outlook and strong Canadian presence, Minera intends to stand apart through its boutique, high-touch approach.
GORD DOERKSEN FEC, P.Eng.
Principal
Gord is a registered professional mining engineer with over 40 years of operating and consulting experience across Canada, the United States, and Africa. He has led engineering studies, operational improvement initiatives, due diligence reviews, EPCM teams, and has functioned as a Qualified Person for a multitude of NI 43-101 reports.

Principal
Jaime is a senior mining professional with more than 33 years of international experience across the full project lifecycle. He has held senior leadership roles on major and junior mining projects worldwide, delivering complex open-pit and underground developments safely, on schedule, and within budget.
